"Land! Guys, there's land!" It had been only that morning when the little Kokiri had ran up and down the ship, announcing the great news to everyone on board with the black wolf chasing after him. Shane had been sitting in his usual spot below deck, but the shouting had been enough to pull him aboard. Sure enough, the boy had been right. He had seen cliffs on the distance, small yet, but seagulls had been flying above as well. The rest of the morning had breezed away. Now, he stood below the crow's nest, watching as a great city loomed large before them. They were still maybe an hour out from it, but he knew the people must have seen them as well by then. Still, he walked over to the captain and ordered him to head for the large beach to the right of the city. The port had looked appealing enough, but they had no idea what kind of people lived there and the lack of boats coming and going left an eerie feeling in his mind. About an hour later, he felt the entire ship shake as they brushed the shore.
"We've landed!" the captain announced loud and clear. James had felt them land before he heard him, so he was already out in the salty air when the rest of the passengers emerged to see what they had been travelling for so long to reach. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, listening to the shouts of the crew finishing their jobs. As he opened them, he saw Elwood standing by him, standing on the tips of his toes to peek over the railing. At long last, James felt a sense of safety when he saw the boy, and his thoughts flew back to Melody in Hyrule. He smiled. We're here.
