Sephira watched Rose for a minute. Something was wrong, and she would get the full story, but not now. Both needed time away from each other for now. She glanced at Joshua. "Watch her," she mouthed, then turned and hurried to go find Elliot.

Midnight didn't take long to find the right herbs and quickly nipped some. He then hunted around for Elliot's scent, which was difficult to do with the herbs in his mouth. He did find the man alongside a stream, his burnt arm in it. The black wolf crept up next to him, then placed the herbs beside him and whined.

Joshua glanced at Rose, a little stunned by her stone cold expression. He glanced back at Sephira long enough to see her mouth something to him before she ran off. He scratched his head, confused. What did she say? he thought to himself. Then he shrugged and turned to Rose. "Where do you want to go?" he asked gently.
The wolf howls his mournful song,
My heart beats as I listen to him.
It rises and falls as he speaks to the moon,
A chilling howl that fills me with joy.

"don't care" rose said honestly "I really wants to get away from here, however, I get the feeling sephira will kick my butt if I did, so, I'll wait for her return here, explain to her I'm going, then leave"

Elliot turned his head at the sound of padded footsteps behind him. Midnight sat on his haunches and seemed to urge him to use the plants he'd placed next to him. "Thanks," he said softly to the wolf, managing to give him a pet on his backside using the hand on his good arm. He picked up the herbs and sniffed them. They looked a little familiar, though he was probably mistaking it for some other plant. He wondered how exactly he was supposed to use it. Maybe he had to eat it? He placed a few pieces in his mouth and gingerly chewed it. His expression changed from that of mild curiosity, to slight discomfort, and finally downright disgust. "Blech!" He spat out the wad of herb onto the ground and rubbed his tongue against the sleeve of his tunic. "That has got to be the most bitter thing I have ever tasted."

Midnight waited patiently for the Hylian to use the herbs. He knew how, of course, but Sephira had taught him not to help unless the person seemed like he needed it. Midnight wagged his tail as Elliot put the herbs in his mouth. "That's right, like that."
The wolf snorted with laughter as Elliot spat them back out. "Supposed to do that on the wound! Like this." He walked over to the herbs and picked them up. He chewed a few of them, then spat the juice onto Elliot's arm. He picked up the rest and tried to lay them on it, but they kept sliding off. The wolf whined in frustration.

Sephira watched the two from the shadows. She was certain Elliot wouldn't want to see her right now, but she didn't want to leave him alone. She wondered if maybe she should disguise herself. She was already wearing the Gerudo outfit Rose lent her. Making her look like a Gerudo wouldn't be a good idea, but her blue eyes would probably show she wasn't really one anyways. She headed off, searching for the plants she needed to stain her skin and dye her hair.

Joshua glanced at where Sephira had vanished off to. "I'll wager if she wants you she can find you. If you want to get away from here, then come on. I can show you Zora's Domain, or Lake Hylia, or Kokiri Forest, if you really wanted." He took her hand and gently started to pull her.

"Ew! Midnight!" Elliot wiped the spit off of his arm and proceeded to emulate what the wolf had done. He chewed up another piece, placed it over the burn on his arm and pressed it down with his other hand. He took the pieces that had fallen off when Midnight had tried to place them on his arm and held them there as well. To his amazement, the pain had actually started to subside a little. He removed it a little to take a peak and sure enough the angry red hue had begun to fade to a softer, lighter color. Sure it'd probably still leave a nasty scarring but at least it didn't hurt as much. "Hm. Interesting plant..." He pocketed a few of the left overs for later. Then he laid back on the ground and sighed. He wondered what he should do next. Probably go home. Or maybe take another walk. Clear his frazzled mind. Whatever he did, he definitely didn't want to go back there. He absent-mindlessly started to scratch Midnight behind the ears as he stared up at the sky.

Sephira was quick to find the plants she needed and quick to dye herself. She painted her skin a brown so dark it was almost black, but she made certain to leave the clothes out of it. She sighed as she noticed her scars wouldn't hide, but there was nothing she could do about that. She then dyed her hair black, so dark it almost looked blue. She paused to look at her reflection in the stream, and was satisfied that she looked different enough Elliot wouldn't recognize her. She hated having to pull this trick, but she didn't want to upset the man while she tried to comfort him.
She pulled her hair back into a ponytail and tied it back with a slim vine she had found, keeping it out of her face. She then walked down towards Elliot and Midnight. When she was just out of Elliot's range of hearing, she whistled to Midnight, warning him that she was coming, but that he was not to betray her as herself.
The wolf, who had lain down beside Elliot, sat up and pricked his ears, warning Elliot that someone was coming. However, he made himself react as he would to a new person, by standing up and growling. Sephira peered out from between two trees and was happy to see Midnight acting as she had asked, and that Elliot had applied the treatment properly.

Avalona sang softly as she ushered her small herd of sheep towards the stream. She gasped as she saw an injured man beside the water. She went over to him. "Sir, are you alright?"

Elliot was pulled away from his thoughts when he heard Midnight jump up to his paws and utter a low growl. He immediately went into a defensive stance, pulling out his sword and looking towards the direction that Midnight was pointed to. He glanced at the trees and thought he could just barely see something peeking out at them, though he might've been imagining things. Rather than take a chance and ignore it, he decided to investigate it. But just as he got close, he heard a voice call out to him. He turned around and saw a young lady looking questioningly at him. Beside her, a flock of sheep were helping themselves to a cool drink of water, though how he could a bunch of sheep close by he'd never know.
                        "Sir, are you alright?"
Elliot hesitated for a moment. Who was this girl and what was she doing in the middle of the forest? "Yes, I'm...fine, thank you." He shifted his weight to his other leg and pressed the herb against his arm more tightly. "And who might you be?"

Avalona smiled at him. "My name's Avalona. It's nice to meet you, sir." She felt a warm, soft head bump against her thigh and smiled, scratching behind the sheep's ears.

As soon as Midnight scented the sheep, he whirled on them with a growl. He only scented sheep a few times, not often enough to recognize thier scent. His hackles rose, as he couldn't remember if they were dangerous or not, and wanted them to know he was in charge here.

Sephira ducked back behind a tree. Habit kept her cautious of strangers, and she felt a little like the kid with her hand in the cookie jar in her diguise. She'd wait a little while for Midnight to judge the girl before she came out.

Elliot gave a small smile back to Avalona. "No need for the formalities, Avalona. Call me Elliot." He gave her a slight bow. "I'm a merchant at heart and a traveler by soul. Now what's a young lass like yourself doing in a place like this?" He took note of her different complexion and his eyes were especially drawn to the blue crescent-shape over her eye. "Are you from around here?"

Avalona whirled to face the wolf, her hand instinctively reaching for her bow as the sheep began to mill about her, bleating in fear. She waved her hand at the sheep, then pointed behind her. "Kra-hie! Back!" The sheep moved to huddle behind her, terrified. "I'm a shepherd. I bring my sheep here to drink." She noticed him looking at the crescent moon on her forehead and blushed slightly. "I live nearby, on the other side of the woods. There's a small ranch there, although most people don't know about it." She fidgeted with the end of her braid.
